Nevada State Prison has a rich history, especially with executions when the first of which took place in September 1905. The prison is also known for carrying out one of the largest multiple executions in the history of Nevada in November of that same year. Later two Native Americans on December 7, 1906. He is also buried on the property. Serial killer Carroll Cole became the first inmate to be executed in Nevada by lethal injection in December of 1985.
