The Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher is located along the historic Chisholm Trail, once one of the greatest cattle trails in the world. Here you can learn about the history of the trail and experience their pioneer village, home to two log cabins, a one-room schoolhouse, a church, and the first bank built in Kingfisher! They also feature exhibits on early Kingfisher history, including commerce and industry. Located across the street is Horizon Hill and the Seay Mansion, once home to the third Territorial Governor of Oklahoma, Abraham Jefferson Seay. Guests still feel the presence of the Governor and his family when visiting. Many of the artifacts in the mansion hold past memories and we hope to make contact with the late Governor and his family. It’s also been reported you can still hear children playing in the pioneer village school house. Will we see Gov. Seay in the mansion?
